2018
In 2018, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences together with its regional innovation partners launched an ambitious initiative entitled Campus Amsterdam aiming to connect all campuses, labs and innovation districts in the Amsterdam metropolitan area. The initiative provides entrepreneurs, researchers and students from around the world with one entrance to the region's wealth of innovation, knowledge and education.
Solution
Together with XRBase, team was commissioned to design and built an interactive installation piece that encourages regional stakeholder to experience the many campuses, labs and innovation districts through a fun and interactive Augmented Reality application. For the first time individual innovation hubs are revealed on the physical “Wedding Cake” of concentric layers of City Centre (top), ring road (middle) and metropolitan region (base). This duality between physical objects and AR creates a playful exchange and interaction for stakeholder to explore how Campus Amsterdam becomes a unique accelerator of regional innovation.
