Smart Crowd Signs

2020

The former Navy Base on the Amsterdam waterfront is a popular destination for thousands of visitors to cool off during the summer.

The campus is big (8 hectares), and hosts many destinations for working, learning and living spaces. The hottest days produce the largest crowds - so sharing information like events, notifications, location information and wayfinding, and data visualization is key.

By making the location data more transparent and accessible, the residents, workers and guests of property can remain  safe, secure and engaged!

Solution

To test socio-economic validity, we are pushing real time data to Smart Screens at each entrance of the property to visualize busyness offering visitors choice to where they could safely distribute themself around the campus.

An informed public can make their own choice and decision based on their own interests, health risks, or privacy concerns.

By publishing property data on a custom built CRM system, we can now visualize (realtime) insights on the 4k narrowcast smart displays on site, or laptop on the coach or mobile phone on the go!

Using digital media, we can create a rich online and offline bulletin for visitors, guests and occupants of the Marineterrein. The public can access the information remotely or on-site smart signs, interactive kiosks and public billboards.
